Bio
As well as freelancing in the indie game space - as Sound Designer, Technical Sound Designer - I work in installations, immersive, theatre and live art as a Sound Artist, Sound Designer, and Creative Technologist. This covers anything from sound engineering live instrumentalists to programming show control software to setting up networking between other departments (AV/LX). I also create my own sound-centred performance, which I've toured and performed at festivals. I've delivered several arts projects in which I've engaged other practitioners, so I have familiarity with project management, running open calls and grantwriting. I've been a mentor for 3 years with Limit Break as well as several other official and unofficial mentorship.
Other people on here have a lot more specialised and AAA game experience so I guess what I offer is a bit of the world outside, in terms of how you might bring games experience to the arts and vice versa, and also I can help with freelancing more generally as I've been self-employed for over a decade.
Before reaching out, please make sure you've followed one of the many free guides (including here on game audio learning) and started actioning some of those points. It can be a little hard to know how to help somebody who hasn't opened FMOD or done a game jam or watched an AirCon talk. Come to me with some actual questions and concerns and I can help you better.
